By using a servicing profile, you’ll automatically deliver monthly Office updates for specific users or groups in waves, limiting the impact on your network. If you need additional predictability of when new Office features are released, we recommend Monthly Enterprise Channel with a servicing profile. We recommend Current Channel, because it provides your users with the newest Office features as soon as they're ready. However, Internet access is required to install and activate all the latest releases of Office suites and all Microsoft 365 subscription plans. You don’t need to be connected to the Internet to use Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, because the applications are fully installed on your computer.
