You won't see an option to choose Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel if your tenant was created after January 15, 2023. By using a servicing profile, you’ll automatically deliver monthly Office updates for specific users or groups in waves, limiting the impact on your network. If you need additional predictability of when new Office features are released, we recommend Monthly Enterprise Channel with a servicing profile. We recommend Current Channel, because it provides your users with the newest Office features as soon as they're ready. For example, you can provide new features as soon as they're ready, or once a month (on the second Tuesday of the month), or twice a year (in January and July, on the second Tuesday). For Microsoft 365 plans, Internet access is also needed to manage your subscription account, for example to install Office on other PCs or to change billing options. However, Internet access is required to install and activate all the latest releases of Office suites and all Microsoft 365 subscription plans. You don’t need to be connected to the Internet to use Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, because the applications are fully installed on your computer.
